Golf Qualification

Qualification Summary

Each National Olympic Committee can enter a maximum of 8 competitors (4 men and 4 women) to compete. As hosts, Japan was given one male and one female quota to compete should they fail to qualify normally. The remaining quotas will be decided by the Olympic Golf Rankings published on June 21st 2021 for men and June 28th 2021 for women.

A nation may qualify up to four athletes in each event if all athletes are ranked in the top 15, if not the nation can qualify a maximum of two athletes per event. Additionally, all continents must be represented, replacing the last qualifying athlete(s) if needed.
