Malta

History

Malta made its first Summer Olympic appearance in 1928 and has competed in most Olympics since. In total the nation has missed five Olympics; 1932, 1952, 1956, 1964 and 1976. Malta typically sends a small delegation with fewer than 10 athletes participating in various sports such as, archery, athletics, judo, sailing, shooting and swimming. The nation has yet to win its first Olympic medal.
