North Macedonia

History

North Macedonia made its first Summer Olympic appearance in 1996 after the breakup of Yugoslavia and has competed ever since. The nation sends a small delegation of athletes with around 10 competing. So far the athletes have competed in athletics, canoeing, judo, shooting, swimming and wrestling. Macedonia has won a single Olympic medal where wrestler Magomed Ibragimov won bronze in the men’s freestyle -85kg event at the 2000 Olympics.
