History

Kosovo made its first Summer Olympic appearance in 2016. This will be their second Summer Olympic appearance. In 2016, Kosovo was represented by eight athletes whom competed in five sports; athletics, cycling, judo, shooting and swimming. Kosovo won their first medal at those games with judoka Majlinda Kelmendi winning gold in the women’s -52kg event.
