History

Myanmar made its first Summer Olympic appearance in 1948 and has competed ever since, with the exception of 1976. The nation typically sends a small delegation of fewer than 10 athletes to compete at each Olympics. The sports Myanmar commonly competes in are athletics, boxing and weightlifting. Myanmar has yet to win its first Olympic medal.
