Eritrea

History

Eritrea made its first Summer Olympic appearance in 2000 and has competed ever since. The nation sends a small delegation where since 2008 about 10 athletes compete per Olympics. The sports Eritrea has so far compete in are athletics and cycling. Eritrea won its first and only medal in 2004 where Zersenay Tadese won bronze in the men’s marathon.
