Central African Republic

History

The Central African Republic made its first Summer Olympic appearance in 1968. It then missed the next three Olympics for various reasons before returning in 1984 and has competed ever since. The nation typically sends a very small delegation of athletes to the games, between 3-6 athletes since 1996. Typically they compete in athletics and a combat sport. The Central African Republic has yet to win its first Olympic medal.
