Cape Verde

History

Cape Verde made its first Summer Olympic appearance in 1996 and has competed ever since. The nation sends a very small delegation of athletes to the games, no more than five have competed at a single Olympics. Typically they compete in athletics, rhythmic gymnastics and a combat sport. Cape Verde has yet to win its first Olympic medal.
