Golf: Women’s Olympic Rankings Sees 36 Nations Qualify to the Olympics

The International Golf Federation has published the Women’s Olympic Golf Rankings. Women could obtain points at eligible events held between July 8th 2018 to June 28th 2021. Up to four athletes per nation may take part if all of them were ranked in the top 15, if not a nation may only qualify up to two athletes.

The rankings were topped by Nelly Korda of the United States. Both South Korea and the United States qualified a team of four athletes. In total, 36 nations qualified at least one athlete. As all of the continents and host nations are represented the full 60-person competition are represented from the rankings.

The list excludes withdrawals (up until June 29th) from athletes who are injured, declined to participate or were declined by their National Olympic Committee. Nations are still required to accept the quotas. A final update will be released next week.
